A 2” thick layer of premium quality 1.8 lb./ft3 minimum density convoluted foam is placed on top and bottom.
The firm side contain 46ILD pressure reduction foam and the plush side contain 32ILD pressure reduction foam, providing the mattress with dual firmness and increased comfort
The perimeter of the mattress contains ultra-firm 1.8 lb./ft3 85 ILD foam edges to prevent edge collapse.
Nylon performance fabric cover. The mattress cover is 210 denier waterproof, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, PVC free polyurethane coated nylon with durable water repellant that causes fluid to bead up on the mattress rather than wet the fabric.
All-wire spring unit, knotted-coil construction. Transverse rows of coils use 17.5-gauge wire helicals running at right angles to the long axis.
Low profile 7” x 24” coil count. Spring wire is 13-gauge high carbon and heat treated to eliminate permanent load stress. Spring unit contains no border wires.
A fire barrier is placed over the mattress core in such a way that it completely encapsulates the entire mattress forming a full fire barrier. The fire barriers are sewn close with Kelar or fiberglass thread.
